This project was designed to engage community involvement at all stages: during and following construction as well as in the long term maintenance and appreciation of the site.
It provides an opportunity to learn about the importance of the wetlands environment, the ability of some plants to deal with toxins, alternative water treatment systems, solar energy, and not least, the versatility and resourcefulness of new and recycled plastics.
Community involvement is growing. We welcome you to participate in the development of a living legacy through our Community Planting Event, or by contributing as a volunteer or donor.
